Best damn quesadilla I've ever had ! I've been trying to come here for awhile now . Came across a random yelp review about this cart over 3 years ago but every time I tried to visit she wasn't there ( sometimes she leaves early if she runs out of ingredients or if she's sick I assume she also might not work ) . This place is inconspicuously located in a parking lot just passed a a major intersection . Look for the colorful umbrella !!!!
My dad ordered the chorizo y papas and I had the chicken which was recommended ...and omg let me tell you ..... the freshest corn tortilla I've ever had obviously . The magic of this cart is you can watch her make the blue corn tortillas fresh with an old school wooden tortilla press . The texture is hard to describe . Very different almost spongy in the best possible way ...a food sponge if deliciousness . I put a little cortija cheese on top and drizzled the red and the green salsa on topaz ....every bite had its own personality . Finished most of the quesadilla 4 hours later cold and it was just as good if not better !
Also the squash blossom will change your life! Best quesadilla I ever had. Feel free to freeze in unthaw on a hot skillet to enjoy the magic later as I did when I picked up some additional quesadillas a few weeks later to bring with me to burning man! -

I live and work in the OC so when I saw this highly reviewed gem, I took time off work and made travel plans to intentionally come here to see what it was all about.
After studying the reviews here extensively, my friend and I decided to come on a Friday right at noon as a few reviewed mentioned the cart wasn't ready until that time. We arrive at our projected time and our blue corn quesadilla's were made right in front of our eyes.
I ordered the chicharron (as it came highly recommended) and my friend ordered the chicken. Both had great flavors; however, I felt that for $5 each it would have been more filling. It was good, but I didn't really feel like eating a second one and instead looked for another spot to try. Next! -

I just found the cart!! Literally eating and posting because I've been looking for her infamous cart for weeks.
She's open Friday Saturday Sunday.
Tried the pork and squash blossoms....amazing! Went for the salsa verde and it's just the perfect MILD. Not too spicy..just right.
Plenty of lot parking. Just be careful of the parking enforcement..they are always around. -

My husband and I ordered a chicharron quesadilla and it was ok not our favorite but we both love the flor de calabaza and we got a plain cheese one for our daughter I ate half with salsa verde (really spicy) and nopales super good. Will come back to try the huiclacoche and hongos.

This taco stand is such a low key gem that you can easily drive by without giving it a second thought. This stands claim to fame is it's blue corn tortillas along with it's huitlacoche. We got the chicken along with the huitlacoche and it was delicious and flavorful. The taste of huitlacoche may not be for everyone, but it's certainly unique. We also got another taco with chorizo and huitlacoche and this one tasted way more pungent and weird. Not sure if we just ordered poorly.
